I've re-considered how I'm doing future Snowybrook Inn stories. I started off publishing the series as short 70-80-page books back in 2012, and when I had released three, I combined them into one volume, Welcome to Snowybrook Inn.
Recently when I began working on more stories in the series, my plan was to write a novel's worth of stories and then release them all at once as Return to Snowybrook Inn. I even had a pre-order page set up on Amazon, as I thought the deadline might motivate me to write quickly. It has, but not as quickly as I would have liked.
So I've re-tooled my plans, and have decided to go back to my initial method, and just release short individual books, each containing about 70 pages worth of stories, as I finish them at my own pace. This also helps with the audiobook versions, which were also released in short 2-3 hour chunks and tied to the short book series rather than the collected Welcome to Snowybrook Inn volume. I couldn't take the shorter books off sale, because of the audiobook connection, and I thought having three smaller books and then two collected books, along with a comic book version, would just be cluttering the field, so to speak, and possibly lead to confusion among readers.
So anyway, cancelled Return to Snowybrook Inn, and just released Snowybrook Inn: Book Four a few short weeks ago, which is the subject of the next post.

Pre-order on Amazon: Return to Snowybrook Inn
My next novel (actually, a novel-length collection of connected short stories) is now up for pre-order on Amazon.com. It's the sequel to Welcome to Snowybrook Inn, to be released on February 19, 2016.

Recent Releases
I've been neglecting this blog a bit lately. But here are the things I've released over the past few months:
Audiobooks:
Tales of Science Fiction
Tales of Fantasy
The Chronicles of Varuk: Book One
Armageddon 2419 A.D.
Books:
Zombie Galaxy: Prologue
The Caustic Christian
Yes, I've moved into audiobook production. I know I don't have the best voice for audiobooks, but I tried my hand at one, and discovered that it's actually a lot of fun. In addition to those listed above, I've got several more in the pipeline, a mixture of my own books and books in the public domain. By the way, Armageddon 2419 A.D. is not my book; it's written by Philip Francis Nowlan, and is the original Buck Rogers novella from 1928.
Next up is The Beetle Horde by Victor Rousseau, from 1930. It's already winging its way toward Amazon, iTunes and Audible, and should be available any time now.
Also, Zombie Galaxy: Prologue is a short story, and is literally the prologue to my Zombie Galaxy series. I had actually written it for the second book in the series, but had a debate with myself whether it belonged at the front of the second book, or woven into the main narrative, or whether it actually should be placed at the front of the first book, which would have involved updating the first book and trying to get the word out to anyone who had purchased it that it had been updated. In the end, I opted to simply release it as a stand-alone.

What I'm working on now
Here is a list of what I've done this year and what I plan to do, in regards to writing.
For most of this year (2011) I've been writing and publishing erotica under a pen name. Not something I'm proud to admit, but there you are.
For the rest of this year, I've got several projects I'm working on. Normal stuff I'll publish under my own name, not erotica.
The first is a collection of short stories set in the same universe as my novel, The Big City. The collection will be called Tales From the Big City, and will be published sometime later this year. The first two stories are already evailable. I've got another Big City novel planned (called The Big City: Trace's Tale), but that's further down the road.
Also in the pipeline is a novel tentatively titled Flames of the Sun. It's a sort of Jay-Lake-ish clockwork novel about a geocentric universe where the sun orbits the Earth and there are two types of people: those directly created by God (called God-made) and those who are accidental by-products of evolution (called Earth-born). This should be available later this year.
Also planning a novel adaptation of my screenplay, The Miracle Brigade, which will actually be the first book in a series.
Currently working on a novel titled Inferno that I plan on publishing later this year.
Also planned is a novel/novella titled The Christian Mortician.
I'm also thinking about adapting my comic book series Snowybrook Inn into a collection of short stories, or possibly an episodic novel in the vein of Cugel's Saga by Jack Vance. This is the one I'm most excited about doing, because I love the world I created for the comic, and have a lot of stories planned out that were never drawn. Hopefully I'll get around to doing this.
